Member of Two Master Plan Committees
● Participated in long range planning for the future of the Town of Cortlandt in 2000-04 and 2013-16;
● The 2016 Envision Cortlandt Sustainable Comprehensive Plan provides for a more resilient and interconnected community which embraces and promotes Cortlandt’s unique historical identity as well as its regionally significant resources along Hudson River;
● The 2016 plan was awarded the prestigious NYS Planning Federation Award as well as the Planning Achievement Award by Westchester Municipal Planning Federation.
● Those plans now must be implemented through legislation at the Town Board level. Jim is uniquely qualified to carry this important work forward and to help the Town plan appropriately for its future.

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and voting upon applications for subdivisions, site plans, special permits, wetland permits, steep slope permits etc. and to advise the Town Board and staff on issues relating to planning, SEQRA, moratoria, proposed legislation and other matters. Jim's deep knowledge of the Town, its infrastructure, planning issues and environmental constraints will serve him well as a Town Board member.
